Customer Owned Banking Scholarship Award 2019 - We Have a Winner!

NGS Super is delighted to announce the winner of the Customer Owned Banking Scholarship Award 2019.
Sponsored by NGS Super and offered in partnership with Instil, the Customer Owned Banking Scholarship Award aims to help industry leaders create their vision of success and make a contribution to the customer owned banking sector and the community it serves.
This year’s winner is Angelique French from Orange Credit Union, who applied for the scholarship award to help her establish a program to teach school-aged children financial literacy, with the longer term goal of reducing the levels of financial stress in the Orange area.
Angelique already has preliminary support from the local public high school principal and is looking to undertake a financial counselling course so that she can facilitate the program and also to assist the growing number of young people she is seeing with debt issues.
Laura Wright, Chief Executive Officer of NGS Super, congratulated all those who applied for the award.
“This year the focus was on community outcomes – how the applicant’s proposal would benefit a community important to their organisation, highlighting the shared values that NGS has with the COB sector. Angelique’s project is clearly designed to benefit her community in a profound way — we wish her every success with it.”
