Closure of the NGS Self-Managed Direct Investment Option
The NGS Self-Managed Direct Investment Option (DIO) will close on 30 May 2025. A limited service period will be in effect from 5pm on Friday 9 May 2025. This means that members will no longer be able to access or transact within the DIO portal from commencement of the limited service period. This includes accessing research or reports, transferring an amount to or from the DIO Cash Hub, transacting in the DIO portal or closing their DIO.

- your age and planned retirement date

How it works
You can use the NGS Self-Managed DIO in an NGS Accumulation or Income account.1 To get started, you’ll need a balance of at least $7,000. DIO is available through Member Online — you’ll need to move money into the DIO’s cash hub before you can start trading.
There are minimum transaction amounts and restrictions on how much you can invest in the DIO, the amount you leave in your cash hub and how much you'll need to hold in your NGS investment options outside of the DIO.

What investments are available?
The NGS Self-Managed DIO gives you access to investments including:
- shares in ASX-listed companies within the S&P/ASX 300 Index
- a range of exchange traded funds (ETFs)
- term deposits with varying terms to suit your needs.
